Board of Directors Nominations

Dear Aboriginal Coalition to End Homelessness members, Our rescheduled Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held on July 27th, 2018 at the Songhees Wellness Centre (1100 Admirals Road) from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. There are three elected director positions to be voted on:  Elected Director position 1: 1 year term;  Elected Director position 2: 2 year term; and Elected Director position 3: 3 year term. You must be a member in good standing if you want to nominate a member to stand for election. This means that you have paid your fees for the 2017/2018 membership year before you send in a completed nomination form (contact admin@aboriginalhomelessness.ca for the form). Please note that under the new BC Societies Act, the nominee must consent in writing to be nominated and must meet the qualifications to be a director as specified in the Act and in our bylaws. To meet these requirements, you and the nominee must sign the form before you send it to us. We must receive the completed, signed form by no later than the end of day Friday, July 13th . You must be a member in good standing for 2017/2018 in order to vote at the AGM. This means that you must have paid for your 2017/2018 membership before the AGM starts. If you have not already done so, you can pay for a new or renewed membership at the door. If you are representing a Corporate Member, you must have written approval from the organization to vote on their behalf.
